Wersching recently held a conference call to discuss her experiences on the show and here's what she had to say. I really, really loved this part, and in your career you hope that you have greater things in your future, but it's hard for me not to, at this time, think of it as sort of a role of a lifetime because she was so dynamic. Why do you think people have continued to tune in and watch Well, definitely in the beginning, it was such a groundbreaking show, and there was nothing else like it on television.
It's really like a little feature film every week with the ticking clock and the real-time aspect.
He and the cast of the real-time thriller TV show, which ends after eight years on our screens with a three-hour-long finale later this month, held a wrap party at Los Angeles Boulevard 3 club last night.

But he was joined at the party by a host of stars who were all during the long-running drama, which may provide a few clues about how the finale could pan out.
Among them was Leslie Hope, who played Jack’s first wife Terri Bauer until her apparent death in series one, and Carlos Bernard, who was Jack’s confidant Tony Almeida before seemingly being shot and betrayed by his former partner in the seventh series.
BE: Were you a fan of the show before signing on to play Agent Walker? BE: How much weapons and field training did you have before shooting began?
I’d seen every episode of every season going way, way back, so yes. BE: Was there a palpable sense of urgency on the set, the feeling that this season had to be great in order to make up for the previous one? You know, I think, combined with having a little bit longer to film this season, I think that helped us with having a little something to prove after Season Six.

Annie Wersching's character Renee Walker was killed in last week's episode, and will also fuel Kiefer Sutherland's character Jack Bauer's quest for revenge as the series comes to a close. I would say the biggest thing is the cast and crew, and the friends that I've made, but I was an absolutely huge, huge fan of the show before I joined it, so just being a part of such an iconic show and getting to play a role as amazing as Renee Walker.
Also there were Annie Wersching (Agent Renee Walker, who was killed by sniper in latest episode) and Mary Lynn Rajskub, who has played Jack’s devoted helper Chloe O’Brian, since series three and Jon Voight who layed Jonas Hodges in an episode in series 7. The producers have refused to reveal anything about the plot.
