We are also pleased to announce that Michelle Novotny’s (also a Director of the firm) recent application for certification as a Forensic Document Examiner by the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE) was accepted and she has successfully satisfied the stringent and demanding written, practical and oral requirements for certification by the ABFDE.The fact that she was accepted to undertake the certification process is in itself significant as certification was, until recently, only available to document examiners who were permanent residents of the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.However, it is not my practice to perpetuate litigation related to a document issue if the evidence does not allow for it.



Ink recently placed on paper will have a higher evaporation rate than ink placed on the same page several months or years prior.
The majority of document examiners do not have the sophisticated laboratory equipment to date ink but will be able to provide the name of a reputable ink chemist.
